Derivatives Controller

Your role

Join the Business Control team in Bladel as a Derivatives Controller! You'll be the primary controller responsible for overseeing derivatives activities within Interfood Europe. As part of a team of nine, you'll lead control efforts specifically focused on derivatives trading. Your role will involve providing clear financial analyses and insights to support and optimize our derivatives trading activities. Reporting directly to the Senior Business Controller, you'll collaborate closely with our finance team and traders to ensure compliance and maximize value generation from derivative transactions.

As our new Derivatives Controller you:

• Act as the derivatives controller, overseeing derivative trading activities and risk management strategies.
• Conduct economic analyses specific to derivatives trading, such as ROI/EVA analysis, mark-to-market valuation, and P&L forecasting for derivative positions.
• Collaborate with traders to develop and execute derivatives trading strategies based on financial insights and market trends.
• Challenge derivatives traders on their trading and adherence to risk limits (monitoring VAR boundaries, stress wing risk, etc.).
• Assess and manage risks associated with derivative transactions, providing recommendations for risk mitigation.
• Provide financial information and advice on derivative trading decisions to various departments within the organization.
• Analyze and interpret financial data related to derivatives trading, preparing regular management reports.
• Monitor the performance of derivative positions and identifying trends and variances.
• Provide ad-hoc support to trade, supply chain, logistics, and finance teams as needed.
