
Global Communications Advisor
Your role
We are seeking a Global Communications Advisor to join the communication team of our international trading organization. As part of a team of three, you will collaborate to elevate the communication department to the next level. Operating at a tactical level with a strategic mindset, you bring energy, a proactive attitude, and a strong international perspective
In general this means:
- Execution of the communication strategy, (linked to the company strategy) into concrete plans and actions. You are able to connect the dots and bring the sum of the projects to a higher level.
- Provide broad communications advice including the creation of communications plans.
- Advise management about (internal) Communications (and objectives) to support their strategic and tactical goals; (e.g. town hall meetings on changes, progress of strategy, celebration of successes, etc);
- Advise employees on how to communicate both internally and externally
- Ownership of small – medium projects and the potential to grow to co-ownership of large projects.
Your daily activities
- Responsible for development of communication concepts (with colleagues and/or partners)
- Creation and ownership of content and tools: corporate website, social media, corporate presentation, brochures, company templates, monitor their performance and pro-actively suggest improvements.
- Responsible for developing SEO plans, content calendars, campaigns, and social media support.
- Writing content for various communication channels
- Being a point of contact for employees and external parties regarding communication and pro-actively advise on improvement of communications in the organization
- Monitoring and reporting on the performance of communication channels
- Guard consistent look and feel and communication style throughout global offices, adaptive to local cultural preferences. Train and inform global staff pro-actively.
Your role in the Communications Team
As a Mid-level Communications Advisor, you not only perform tasks but also understand their background. You have a clear understanding of the KPIs necessary to make a project successful. You work independently on projects, but with the assistance and supervision of the Communications Manager. There is a lot of room for development in this role, and the team is also evolving. We are in a transformation from operating on a more executional level to a strategic approach with the company strategy as a starting point. However: as a small team we will always also be hands on and also provide support on an executional level.
