Permeate market feels looser than the lactose market

Upward momentum suddenly reversed
Just like in the lactose market prices of permeate also moved higher in recent weeks but towards the end of March and in early April sellers started to experience some pressure again and prices dropped back to levels around EUR 750 ex works. Availability is seasonally strong and the hot WPC-80 market continues to yield healthy volumes of permeate.
Americas
Hardly any trade activity
US permeate prices remain in the range of USD 0.28-0.30/lb (615-660/t) ex works but traded volumes are too small to share meaningful observations on the market at the moment.
