Junior Business Controller

Your role

Interfood BV is looking for a Junior Business Controller to join the Business Control Team in Bladel, the Netherlands. Interfood is a global dairy trading company that connects producers and customers across international markets. You will become part of an ambitious and collaborative team where curiosity, fresh ideas, and personal development are encouraged. This role provides a strong foundation for building your financial expertise while developing a broad understanding of international commodity trading.

As our new Junior Business Controller, you will:

Partner with our commercial teams to translate business activities into financial insights.
Analyze financial and commercial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
Support the budgeting and forecasting process and monitor business performance throughout the year.
Perform customer and supplier credit risk analyses to support commercial decision-making.
Contribute to daily mark-to-market reporting and performance analyses.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and financial controls.
Work closely with colleagues from Trade, Logistics, Treasury, Finance Control, and other departments on both operational and strategic topics.
Provide ad hoc analyses that help management make better business decisions.

Your profile

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial and commercial data and translate it into actionable insights.

Strong Excel skills and a keen interest in data analysis, reporting tools, and automation. Experience with business intelligence tools, SQL, or Python is an advantage.

Excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a genuine interest in commodity trading and commercial performance. A pragmatic mindset and sound judgement, combined with ownership and a willingness to learn.

Experience through internships or a first job in Finance or Controlling is a plus, but ambitious graduates are encouraged to apply.

Fluent written and spoken English; Dutch is an advantage.
