Solutions Engineer - Netherlands

Your role

As a Solution Engineer in our IT Solutions team, you’ll work closely with product owners, subject matter experts and a wide range of IT engineers to turn business ideas into solutions that actually work. Not just on paper, but in real life.

You don’t need to know everything, but you do need to know enough: enough about our IT landscape to see what’s possible, and enough about the business to design solutions that make sense. Together with our engineers, you’ll shape clear solution blueprints they can confidently build.

What you will be doing:

  • Sit down with product owners to understand what they want to achieve (and help them uncover what they really need).
  • Translate business needs into clear solution designs and high-level blueprints, writing solid requirements, creating visualizations, and documenting solutions so everyone knows what to build (and why).
  • Work closely with software, integration, data, and cloud engineers to fine-tune solutions and make smart technical choices.
  • Get your hands dirty when it makes sense: build and configure parts of the solution yourself, such as orchestration processes, integrations, or workflow logic.
  • Act as the friendly translator between business and IT. Switching languages without losing meaning.
  • Keep an eye on the bigger architectural picture, making sure new solutions fit neatly into our IT landscape.
  • Proactively look for innovations and improvement opportunities to strengthen and evolve our IT landscape, always curious about what could work even better.
  • Actively support engineers during implementation by working side-by-side with the team. Writing and refining requirements and stories, clarifying designs, answering questions, and adjusting when reality inevitably has other plan.

Your profile

Have 3–5 years of experience in IT solution design, process analysis, product ownership, or a similar role, and strong analytical skills to match.
Enjoy working with colleagues from different backgrounds and like collaborating face-to-face just as much as through a screen, typically being in the office around three days a week.
Have a solid understanding of modern IT landscapes (integrations, APIs, cloud, data flows, security, but there is no need to be an expert in everything).
Enjoy translating ideas into clear, structured, and workable solution designs.
Can explain technical concepts in an easy way so that even your (grand)parents would understand.
Ask a lot of questions, and then a few more. You listen first, speak second.
Are comfortable working in an Agile, fast-changing environment (change is the only constant).
Are comfortable working with product management and collaboration tools (like JIRA, Azure DevOps etc.) to manage work, visualize ideas, and turn concepts into something the whole team can rally around.
Bring curiosity, pragmatism, and a healthy sense of humor to your work.
Are eligible to work in the Netherlands and comfortable working in English in an international environment.
