Dairy Application Technologist
Your role
We are proud to have been an essential part of the dairy industry for over 50 years. In close collaboration with our business partners and our global teams, we distribute over 1 million metric tons of dairy products per year globally. Our Research & Development team has a central role in aligning product application needs, unlocking new business by innovation, thereby creating value for both our customers and suppliers. Are you interested in becoming part of this team and use your creativity, passion for food science and communication skills to create novel solutions for the food industry?
As our new Dairy Application Technologist you:
- perform product benchmarking by testing milk powder, butter and cheese products on functional characteristics (e.g., by rheology and texture analysis).
- execute tests in order to understand the behavior of dairy ingredients in various applications like chocolate, croissants, yoghurt, pizza and many more.
- collaborate closely with R&D by presenting the results, creating visualizations for customers & suppliers, and pro-actively generating new ideas for analysis and applications.
- participate in fairs to network and to get inspired by the latest market & food trends, to pioneer new product applications.
- conduct inspiring workshops for customers, suppliers and employees in Interfood’s food application laboratory, also called the Dairy Food Studio.
- maintain up-to-date records, write SOP’s and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- are responsible for organizing maintenance and calibration of equipment, as well as ordering lab supplies. You also assist in the procurement of laboratory equipment for the Dairy Food Studio.
- gather customer feedback on the performance of our ingredients in the customer’s application.
